About me:
I can understand if you feel anxiety when seeking out childcare. As a parent, I am also selective and careful about childcare for
my daughter. I hope the following information will answer some of your questions and help to put you at ease.
I am a stay at home mom to one almost 4 year old girl. I have been a
dayhome provider for 3 years, have years of other childcare
experience, and of course experience as a parent. I am finding
it is very rewarding for me and for my daughter. My goal is to
provide a safe and healthy environment where children can grow and learn through play.
My home is non smoking and my childcare first aid and CPR
certifications are up to date. I have passed a child welfare
background check and a criminal record check.
I began my own dayhome business as a way to stay home with
my
daughter while still earning an income. After lots of thought and
deliberation I decided that this business was right for me and my family.
I plan to continue running a dayhome for several years to come, at
least until my daughter and future children are in school and probably
longer. I thoroughly enjoy working with the kids who come into my
home, and they become very much part of my family.
As a provider, I strive to give my dayhome families the best care
that I can. I am continuously seeking out learning opportunities to
better the experiences of the children in my care. I belong to several
groups and forums of providers across North America. We share ideas
and resources in order to offer our clients the very best care possible.
I do not have cats or dogs but I do have birds. They are Zebra Finches
and never come out of their cage. Children love to watch and study
them but please be mindful of potential allergies before placing your
child with me.
